The original Guardian Angels
The Guardian Angels are all handmade in New Zealand, cut from coloured and textured glass. They are made using the copperfoil or “Tiffany” stained glass technique. The Angels are completely lead free, made with a copper, tin and silver solder. The halo is silver plated. The Angels come gift boxed as shown complete with a lovely story titled “Everything I know about Angels".
Everything I know about Angels. . . Angels are in the bible, they were there when Jesus was born. They always wore white satin and had wings and halo’s and blonde hair, the reason I know this is because when I was a little girl I was always asked to be an angel in the church Christmas play. I was an angel, at least that is what everyone told me, I remember looking at the picture of myself that always appeared in our local paper and thinking “Yes, I do look like an angel” and then feeling slightly guilty because I knew I wasn’t one. Everyone always thought I was a lot nicer than I really was. My brothers were the naughty ones, I was the “good one” that was all there was to it. I’ve spent a lot of my life thinking that I need to be an angel. It’s O.K. now though, I’ve figured out that there is no such thing as a perfect human and it’s a terrible waste of time trying to live up to other people’s expectations. I still like angels though, I like the thought of guardian angels, spiritual beings that each have a human soul to “take care” of and guide. Sometimes I think I can hear my angel speaking to me, trying to get me to connect. There is this deep, expansive pool of love in the universe and our guardian angels try to bring it to our attention, they try to remind us because we keep forgetting that it is there. Our guardian Angels are the voice of our intuition, we need to listen to our inner selves and pay attention to what we really need. I think Angels all gather around when people create , when they sing, dance, act, write, paint, draw, laugh and love. Angels love beauty, they know what the human soul is capable of and they know that through beauty we will be reminded of the love. Angels are usually rather soft and floaty looking, they glisten and they love the sunlight. This angel is to remind you of the real angels that surround you, smile when you look upon her, the love like the light will then shine through you.
